Hi guys, I'll get to the point.

I don't do HA, I haven't done HA and I've pvp'd since release. I'm an experianced monk that can play pretty much any other role (although i'm allregic to rangers). I love GVG and spend a good deal of my time doing that with [LST].

Now the main reason I haven't and don't play HA is this.
I didn't join in with the initial good times... then when i became interested it was IWAY fever and ever since then the Fotm builds bored me to hell. I always have wanted to join in with HA and never had an issue with needing to earn ranks to join a good team BUT I can't stand the waste of time that is playing Fotm builds as opponents ALL the time.

Now in gvg you get the same thing with fotm but the great thing there is a skilled team can beat them with superior tactics and playstyle.

Now i'm sure this is still the case with HA the only problem accessing the skilled players able to do this means being rank 9+ and able to get in a group of rank 9+

SOOOOooo to cut a long story short.

Is it really worth my time getting a high rank to play at higher levels? I wouldn't mind grinding those ranks if I thought I'd learn alot but i'm fairly sure all I need to learn is the differance in maps along with the differance in pressure damage/counters to it.

I guess the next logical step is that if its not worth my time (which tbh i haven't worked out yet.. hence this post) then is this why there may be a lack of player switch from other arena's to HA? Could this be why it seems to be either newbie or l33t and nothing in the middle for HA?

Anyway.. primarily.. is it worth the time investment to me to play HA, I don't care for the emotes other than a tool to get into a higher ranked team but I do care if high level HA is worth playing. I'll go for it if people tell me its a rewarding experiance to try it.

Thoughts?

If you didn't play HA in 8v8 because of IWAY, you should see it now...
It's not worth it, because rank is worthless (ofc), and i have no idea what higher levels of play you could get in the current HA.
Skip it, go play TA/RA/PvE.

Imo not worth it at all, unless some serious changes, requested by community will be made soon.

Level of play is pathetic, both skill-wise and build-wise. Fame ( and hero title), thanks to heroway farming spree is compleatly useless and no one respects it anymore. And who cares about emotes?

My guild, comprised ( mostly ) of 8v8 balanced HA vets left HA compleatly. We moved to gvg where the level of gameplay is good. We're doing HA from time to time when seriously bored, but nothing interesting there now, sorry.

If you want to do serious pvp in this game, GVG is the only choice.

Atm it's far from being a rewarding area, fights are dull and boring due to all the spirits and thumpers around c-spacing all the time.

Capping altars doesn't require any skill at all and fame is totally worthless. As Nurse said, GvG is much more fun and rewarding, although it's harder to start playing GvG then it is to start HA. If you're in a PvP guild already then go GvG instead of HA.

Hopefully the upcoming weekend and changes will make HA fun again, but as for now, id say its a complete waste of time.

That used to be the case with HA but then they changed to 6v6.

It will be worth it if they change it back to 8v8, adding some competition and fun. ATM, don't waste your time.
